this colection did not originate with me. two or three years ago,my polish and then my spanish friend decided to colect and translatte the few articles and essays which i had published in the past twenty years on the nature of history.this volume is the final result.if it had not hapened this way, would i have thought of making such a colection myself? that is question i ask myself as i finish reading the proofs
