This paper deals with the material of the Fishes collected during the cruise of the “Snellius”. As the biological work during the expedition was not the chief scope, one could expect that the collection of Fishes would not be so extensive as from other expeditions. A great deal of the collecting of material during the cruise was done by plankton nets, which gives the results that most of the collected Fishes are either small in size or even still in a larval stage
