The year 1967 marks the 150th anniversary of the Bogor Botanic
Garden. It was founded by C. G. C. Reinwardt on May 18, 1817. From this
garden grew successively the Bibliotheca Bogoriensis in 1842, the Her
barium Bogoriense in 1844, the Botanical Laboratory, which is known as
the Treub Laboratory, in 1884, the Museum Zoologicum Bogoriense in
1894 and finally the Marine Research Laboratory in 1904.
